It also features parenting advice from psychologist Dr Justin Coulson, star signs, weekend TV guide, movie reviews, puzzles and a four-page weekend events planner.
The Saturday Telegraph editor Jeni O’Dowd said there was a gap in the weekend newspaper market for a magazine that catered for parents as they juggled children’s sport and other commitments.
“As a mum myself I know all too well how busy Saturdays can be, and I wanted to create a product that parents could pick up, put down and pick up again throughout the day,” she said.
News Corp Australia NSW executive general manager Simon Anderson said: “We are continually looking at ways to innovate our weekend offering and give our readers even more reasons to pick up our newspapers. The launch of BW Magazine demonstrates our commitment to launching new products to satisfy the needs of both our readers and our advertisers.”
The launch issue of BW Magazine tomorrow features the first in-depth interview with NRL star Sam Burgess’ wife Phoebe since marrying into rugby league royalty.
