Fairfax Media has announced its new commercial development and partnerships director will be Kristiaan Kroon, who has a 14-year industry background in the UK.
Mr Kroon will manage commercial partnerships, agency trading relationships and develop new business opportunities in advertising sales.
With more than a decade’s experience in the industry, Mr Kroon has come from Trinity Mirror – the UK’s largest newspaper publishing company – where he was in a similar position at the Daily Mirror.
Mr Kroon will work under Fairfax’s commercial and marketing services director Tom Armstrong.
“This role will help us build stronger relationships with our agency partners and find new directions for ad sales growth,” Mr Armstrong said.
Mr Kroon said he was joining Fairfax at an exciting time in its history.
“Fairfax’s transformation is very similar to what I have experienced with Trinity Mirror and I am joining a top level team,” he said.
