The Australian chapter of the International Advertising Association has announced its board of directors for 2015, appointing five new members.
The Board is made up of representatives from across the industry including media and creative agencies, advertisers, media, public relations and the academic sector, a cross-section of IAA membership across over 40 countries.
Communications Plus managing director Heather Leembruggen will lead the new board as president and chair.
“The Board’s professional insights and input will shape the IAA’s exciting program this year on all levels – senior, young professionals and tertiary education.
“We are also pleased that as usual, we have achieved gender balance in our IAA Board presentation,” Ms Leembruggen said.
The new directors joining the board are Third Avenue Consulting principal Rochelle Burbury, DDB managing partner Adam Donnelly, ANZ head of media Rowena Newman, UTS lecturer in advertising, marketing and corporate communications Martin Williams and Fairfax Media national trade marketing director Chelsea Wymer.
Serving on the board for another year are Starcom director of client services Martin Hadley, ZenithOptimedia chief strategy officer Nicole Milward and MultiConnexions chief executive Sheba Nandkeolyer.
This year the IAA will host the IAA Thought Leadership Forums, Young Professionals events and the annual IAA Big Idea Awards.
