A five-day education program targeting media agency staff and clients has been launched by News Corp Australia.
The News Corp Media and Marketing Institute was developed in conjunction with Melbourne Business School to advance attendees’ knowledge and skills around media planning, media investment and brand management.
The residential program also explores marketing strategy, segmentation, brand management, data analytics, targeting and consumer behaviour.
The Institute’s first session will commence this November and take 25 students from agencies, clients and News Corp employees.
News Corp’s managing director of metro and regional publishing, Damian Eales, said the company was proud to be supporting and advancing the Australian marketing industry by launching this initiative.
“Our clients have told us how much they value quality marketing strategy and advice and at News Corp we’re committed to improving the calibre of Australian marketers. This initiative is an investment in our media agency partners, our advertising clients and our own employees,” Mr Eales said.
“In a world where marketing investment decisions are increasingly complex, we see it as essential that as an industry we remain grounded in the marketing principles that remain true, no matter what the media choice.”
Applications for the program are now open. Places are available from through media agencies Dentsu, GroupM, Mediabrands, Omnicom and Publicis.
