Dainippon Screen, one of the world’s largest print industry suppliers, will now be known as Screen GP, following a structural change to a holding company with operational subsidiaries.
The company’s Australian managing director Peter Scott said GP stood for graphic and precision. It represented a shortening of the full new company title, Screen Graphic and Precision Solutions.
“Please be assured it is business as usual, and the new streamlined naming conventions will be clearer to all, and will also avoid confusion with other companies prefixed with Dainippon,” Mr Scott said.
The Japan-based organisation produces digital printing presses, UV printers, label presses, workflow systems, platesetters and proofing systems.
