Award-winning journalist Pamela Williams will leave The Financial Review after 27 years to focus on writing a novel.
The author of 2013 book Killing Fairfax has announced she is taking redundancy.
She follows a number of other senior staff who left the paper last year in a major redundancy round.
Editor-in-chief Michael Stutchbury confirmed the move in an email to staff, saying Ms Williams “wants to focus on writing the novel she has had on her agenda for a long time.”
“We thank Pam for her decades of great journalism at the Financial Review,” Stutchbury wrote, “and wish her the best with her novel.”
