News Corp has appointed its Australian financial head Susan Panuccio to the role of chief financial officer of the international group, replacing outgoing Bedi Singh.
Ms Panuccio has been the CFO of News Corp Australia since 2013. She had previously held several positions within News UK, including CFO.
News Corp executive chairman Rupert Murdoch said: “Her superb work at News Corp Australia makes her the ideal successor to Bedi, and we look forward to her joining us at headquarters as we take on new opportunities in the years ahead.”
Mr Singh has left the role to pursue new opportunities but agreed to stay on as a senior advisor to News Corp’s digital property interests in India.
Mr Murdoch said Mr Singh had helped News Corp weather challenges of the era better than its peers, and put it on a firm footing for long-term growth and profitability.
Ms Panuccio assumes the role from March. Current Deputy CFO of News Corp Australia, Stacey Brown, will become acting CFO.
