Private car sellers can now advertise their vehicles on NZME’s online motoring marketplace Driven.co.nz.
Listings by private sellers will now feature alongside dealer-owned vehicles on Driven, which was launched last year.
The brand is promoted across NZME’s network which reaches a national audience of over two million.
Opening listings to private sellers was motivated by the identification of an opportunity in the online classified space.
Richard Harrison, NZME Director eCommerce and New Ventures said it made sense to incorporate user listings in Driven given it was already a trusted brand for motoring news and reviews.
“This will streamline the buying process for users – they will be able to look at what’s currently on the market, conduct their research and receive impartial vehicle news and reviews all on one site,” Mr Harrison said.
Private sellers can easily create and manage their car advertisements which are free to list for a limited time as part of a launch promotion.
Thereafter, advertisements start at $20 for 90 days.
NZME has utilised its own radio talent to promote the new feature, including radio hosts Fletch, Vaughan and Megan from pop station ZM.
