Quick cuts: Naparstek to leave Good WeekendBen Naparstek has edited the "Good Weekend" for more than three years

Ben Naparstek has resigned as editor of Fairfax Media’s newspaper-inserted magazine Good Weekend to take up a position at SBS, in which he will oversee the development, production and publishing of content across the broadcaster’s websites.

Mr Naparstek, has edited the magazine for more than three years. Previously he was editor of The Monthly, owned by independent publisher Morry Schwartz.

A Fairfax spokesman said a replacement for Mr Naparstek was being sought through the normal editorial appointment process.

Digital publishers sign Australia, NZ ad deal

The Pangaea Alliance, a group of digital publishers that includes The Guardian, The Financial Times, CNN, Reuters and The Economist, has agreed to give programmatic and ad tech solution VivaKi preferential access to its inventory in Australia and New Zealand.

Guardian Australia, the lead alliance vendor in Australia and New Zealand, was responsible for securing the deal. It allows VivaKi to use its trading desk capabilities to transact the Pangaea inventory on behalf of advertisers in its agency group.

The Pangaea Alliance was formed this year at the instigation of The Guardian

According to Nielsen Online Ratings Hybrid Data, the alliance reaches a total audience of 2.73 million in Australia.

REA increases stake in Asian real estate site

News Corp Australia-controlled REA Group has increased its stake in Asian listings portal iProperty Group. REA, the owner of realestate.com.au, increased its shareholding from 19.9 per cent to 21.33 per cent. IPP has forecast 2015 revenues of between $32.5 million and $36 million from operations in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
