A selection of photos from #SnapSydney 2015
Sydneysiders shared photos celebrating life in Sydney on Wednesday as part of NewsLocal’s #SnapSydney campaign.
#SnapSydney is an innovative campaign by the NSW community papers arm of News Corp Australia that encourages everyone over the course of 24 hours to capture and share photos that depict what life in Sydney means to them.
“It’s a really good marketing exercise for us in that we’re able to reach out to all of readers to get everybody involved,” NewsLocal editor-in-chief Kathy Lipari said.
High profile Australians who have embraced the campaign include NSW Premier Mike Baird, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, and pop artists Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem.
Images from #SnapSydney were published in real time at snapsydney.com.au and photo submissions were streamed on a huge digital billboard in Martin Place in Sydney’s CBD.
Martin Place also played host to a NewsLocal marquee that includes a selfie photo printer and performance by pop / hip hop artist Alphamama.
A selection of the best submissions from #SnapSydney were published online and will be published next week in special edition wraps and inserts of NewsLocal NSW’s 20 community mastheads.
Below are some of the best #SnapSydney photos from 2014.
