One of Australia’s leading advertising identities, IPG Mediabrands’ Henry Tajer, has been appointed as his company’s global chief operating officer.
One of his challenges will be to increase programmatic trading for the company’s North American operation to 50 per cent by 2016.
Global CEO Matt Seiler said Mr Tajer was a “strong executive” who would “take the lead across all platforms”. He praised the Australian group’s performance, saying it had created “award-winning solutions for clients that deliver true business returns”.
Mediabrands is known as a trailblazer in the local market and was among the very first agencies to sign with emma (Enhanced Media Metrics Australia).
Mr Tajer will retain his current role as executive chairman of IPG Mediabrands Australia and remain in Sydney. He said: “The network has performed very well and my energies will focus on accelerating initiatives that continue to lift our performance for clients and for our businesses overall.”
