Mr Janz joined Fairfax in March with an extensive background in digital. Having lead HuffPost’s’ expansion in Australia, he is now at the helm of Fairfax Media’s digital restructure.
Mr Janz will be joining News Corp Australia’s chief digital officer Nicole Sheffield on a panel focusing on the restructure of publishers’ multimedia business models.
Mr Utko is one of the world’s leading news media designers, winning more than 50 international awards for his work. His designs cover over 24 countries, with four of his projects earning him “World’s Best Designed Newspaper”.
Mr Utko is a strong believer that user-experience should be a major consideration of publishers and could be a key figure in the future vibrancy of the industry.
Keynote speaker Rachel Botsman has presented numerous TEDx talks on media and her latest book “Who Can You Trust?: How Technology Brought Us Together and Why It Might Drive Us Apart” is due out in November.
This year’s INFORM, previously known as the Future Forum, will expand to tackle content and commercial strategies and showcase expert opinions from the wider news media sector encompassing print, online, radio and television.
INFORM News Media Summit will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at Sydney’s International Convention Centre. Attendance is free for NewsMediaWorks members (including. publisher staff) and $199+GST for non-members.
