The mother-of-two will start her new role today, where she will be responsible for developing and implementing the brand’s editorial content strategy and creating quality and innovative content to engage and evolve the Kidspot audience.
Ms Wilson has more than 17 years’ experience in media.
“As a mother, I’m well aware of the issues and topics that parents are passionate about and believe it’s important to deliver a broad range of engaging subjects and talking points to our audience,” Ms Wilson said.
“Just because you’ve had a baby doesn’t mean that’s the only thing you want to read about. I’m really excited by plans to extend the brand and I can’t wait to get started.”
Ms Wilson began her career in broadcast journalism in regional radio and then moved into TV, producing and presenting programs with Arena TV and Showtime.
She was a senior entertainment producer/reporter for Network Ten before moving into digital news, managing a team of 20 journalists and video journalists as deputy news editor for the Daily Mail Australia.
Most recently she was appointed as deputy editor of Daily Mail’s women-focused vertical Femail.
According to the latest Nielsen Digital Ratings, Kidspot leads the parenting category with a unique audience of 2.039 million.
