Future Forum in Sydney featured presentations by Dow Jones CEO, William Lewis; commercial director of Trinity Mirror, Blanche Sainsbury and more.
Chief executive of Fairfax Media, Greg Hywood, spoke alongside News Corp Australasia executive chairman Michael Miller and Seven West Media chief executive, Chris Wharton as part of the conference’s annual CEO panel.
Mr Hywood said news media companies need to look at their business to ensure they set themselves up well for the future.
“It’s all about saying what’s going to happen in five years’ time, what’s going to happen in 10 years’ time. You don’t know exactly but you have to prepare your business to be able to cope with that eventuality,” he said.
