IAB Australia has appointed News Corp Australia managing director of digital revenue Cameron King as its new chair of the board, replacing Nicole Sheffield.

Ms Sheffield’s surprise resignation from News Corp in February opened up the IAB position, which Mr King will hold until the publisher’s tenure ends in September.

Libby Minogue, executive general manager, media and content at REA Group, also has joined the board in the newly created role of deputy chair. The new role is intended to increase the productivity of the board.

Mr King will work closely with Ms Minogue and CEO Vijay Solanki to continue to champion and evolve online advertising.

With a long career in digital media, Mr King joined News Corp in 2008 where he worked in various commercial positions before being appointed managing director, digital revenue in September 2017.

Ms Minogue brings more than 20 years’ experience in the media and entertainment sector in Australia and the USA. Prior to joining the REA Group, she was national director of integration and content partnerships at MCN.
