News creates digital strategy and innovation role

News Corp Australia has appointed Alice Almeida to the newly created role of digital strategy and innovation.

The role will see Ms Almeida work across News Digital Networks Australia (News DNA) and national sales, with a focus on developing projects and exploring new opportunities with marketers.

Ms Almeida was previously manager of innovation and insights at Hitwise, a company specialising in large-scale online data collection and consumer behavioural analytics. In her 16 year career in media, consumer research and measurement, she has held positions at Nine Entertainment, the Seven Network and both the IAB Measurement and Research Councils.
