The expanded team will be led by Sharb Farjami, who was promoted to News’ chief commercial officer, network sales, in February.
“As we create a truly full-service multi-platform offering, encompassing paid media, data, content and technology solutions, the addition of NewsLifeMedia to our network sales team will enable us to deliver expertise, creativity and strategic solution ns that are head and shoulders above anything else in market,” Mr Farjami said.
NewsLifeMedia’s director of sales and strategy, Paul Blackburn will now report to Mr Farjami under the new title of commercial director, lifestyle.
News Corp Australasia executive chairman Michael Miller said the two sales teams had world class expertise in a number of platforms and areas.
“As a combined force, we will ensure that the resources of these two teams are used in their best combination to meet our clients’ business objectives,” he said.
NewsLifeMedia chief executive Nicole Sheffield noted the success of the business moving to a specialist content sales network last year.
