News Corp Australia’s chief digital officer Nicole Sheffield has resigned from the company after 10 years.

Ms Sheffield was promoted to her current role last March, having previously been the managing director of News Digital Networks Australia. Her other roles at News included CEO of NewsLifeMedia and general manager of the Lifestyle Channels group, Foxtel.

She is also the current chair of digital advertising industry group IAB Australia.

Ms Sheffield will aid in the company’s transition to a new digital head, which is expected to conclude in April. It is not known what her next move will be.

“I’ve loved my time with News through a period of extraordinary change with so many opportunities and such wonderful content, it has been an incredible experience,“ she said.

News Corp Australia executive chairman Michael Miller said Ms Sheffield had been at the forefront of a number of significant achievements during her 10 years at News.

“With those achievements in place I understand her desire to explore her own opportunities and I wish her well.”
