The Sydney Morning Herald and The Daily Telegraph websites have proven to be the biggest movers in the Nielsen Digital Monthly Ratings, growing 10 per cent and 13 per cent respectively in the month of October.

Smh.com.au remained in fourth place, receiving almost 4.3 million unique visitors in October. The Daily Telegraph had 2.5 million unique visitors, jumping from 10th to eighth place.

Most movement in the rankings was seen in the lower half. The Guardian was the biggest mover of the month, gaining three spots to finish in fifth place, with an increased unique audience of 7 per cent.

Yahoo7 News Websites and the Herald Sun suffered the biggest losses of the month, each losing 9 per cent of their unique audiences.

The top three news sites in the country – news.com.au, ABC News Websites and nine.com.au – remained steady, with only third ranked Nine making gains last month.
