Top three rated Nielsen news sites lift audiences

The top three ranking news sites in the Nielsen Online Ratings have all increased their unique audience in January, although there is no change in rankings from December. News.com.au once again leads the pack with a unique audience of 3.7 million, followed by smh.com.au with 3.5 million and ABC News websites with 3 million. Yahoo7...

The top three ranking news sites in the Nielsen Online Ratings have all increased their unique audience in January, although there is no change in rankings from December.

News.com.au once again leads the pack with a unique audience of 3.7 million, followed by smh.com.au with 3.5 million and ABC News websites with 3 million.

Yahoo7 News Websites returned to the top 10 at 6th place while new entrant into the ranked list MSN News retained 10th place, increasing its audience from 1.4 to 1.6 million.

The Guardian fell to 7th place and the Herald Sun, which held 8th place in December, was pushed out of the top 10.

Daily Mail Australia came in fourth with 2.4 million, overtaking ninemsn News websites with its unique audience of 2.3 million.
