The February 11 conference will feature a line-up of industry experts who will share their own experiences with ad-blocking and explore the methods being used to combat the problem, how to improve user experience and privacy issues.
The results of WAN-IFRA’s publisher survey on ad-blocking also will be presented along with an explanation of the focus of the newly created Publisher Task Force.
Andreas Aspegren – head of online/ VP and chief product officer of Swedish masthead Aftonbladet Online – will present Aftonbladet’s seven point action plan to address ad blocking.
Other speakers include Nico Wilfer, head of product development at FAZ.net (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung); Lars Janzik, VP product manager of WeltN24 (Axel Springer); Johnny Ryan, head of ecosystem at PageFair, Ireland; and Alexander Hanff, founder and CEO of Think Privacy, Poland.
WAN-IFRA’s Ben Shaw, director, global advisory and Ralf Ressmann, director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, also will speak.
The last session of the one day conference will include a workshop focused on devising an ad blocking action plan.
